6.The Beverly Wilshire - Pretty Woman
The Beverly Wilshire hotel in Beverly Hills is the famous filming location for Julia Roberts’ most iconic movie, Pretty Woman. If you are looking to rub shoulders with the stars, then this is the venue for you. Situated on one of the most famous shopping strips in the world, Rodeo Drive, this would be the perfect venue for a product launch or a high-end fashion event.
Some of the stars who have called this hotel their home include Elvis Presley and John Lennon while guests have included President Barack Obama and the Dalai Lama.
5. Park Hyatt Tokyo Japan - Lost in Translation
The Park Hyatt in Tokyo is best known as the filming location for award-winning indie movie ‘Lost in Translation’. Occupying the top 14 floors of a 52-storey skyscraper, the Park Hyatt Tokyo is one of the city's best and most luxurious hotels.
The New York Bar on the 52nd floor of this incredible skyscraper is an incredible people watching spot, where you are almost guaranteed to bump into famous Hollywood stars and fellow movie buffs. This exclusive venue would be the perfect place to host a movie-related press conference or movie-themed event.
4. The Langham Hotel London - Goldeneye
The Langham Hotel is one of the largest and best known traditional style grand hotels in London. A member of the Leading Hotels of the World consortium, this hotel is also famous for being used in the James Bond movie Goldeneye. The beautiful entrance was used as a movie double for the St Petersburg's Grand Hotel Europe.
This exclusive 5 star venue has over 13 function rooms including The Grand Ballroom which can accommodate up to 375 guests for a reception. This 150 year old hotel is the perfect venue for a large event in Central London, be it a Jazz concert, a rugby dinner or even a small-scale theater production!
3. Grandhotel Pupp - The Grand Budapest Hotel
The Grandhotel Pupp in the Czech Republic was the inspiration for Oscar-winning movie, The Grand Budapest Hotel. Sadly, the movie was not actually filmed on location here as the hotel in the movie as fictional and is just a miniature model. Set designer Adam Stockhausen found the interior details of the hotel really interesting, such as ‘the wide corridors with carpet running down the center and windows that shone light into the hallways’.
This incredible Eastern European hotel was also inspiration for other movies and was a filming location for both the 2006 movie Last Holiday starring Queen Latifah and the James Bond film Casino Royale. The Festival Hall, one of the hotel’s four function rooms, is the perfect venues for an extravagant event as it can hold up to 1000 people in banquet style!
2. Turtle Bay Resort - Forgetting Sarah Marshall
This resort in tropical Hawaii was the main filming location for the Rom-Com hit Forgetting Sarah Marshall starring Russell Brand, Jonah Hill and Kristen Bell. The hotel was also the location for Baywatch-Reunion movie ‘Hawaiian Wedding’ and the 5th series of reality show The Hills.
If you are looking to hold a conference in an incredible location, or need a place to hold a team-building session for your company, this would be the most incredible venue. They have two exquisite ballrooms that can host between 900 and 1,000 people in each. The perfect place for a celebrity wedding, perhaps?
1. The Oakley Court - The Rocky Horror Picture Show
The Oakley Court Hotel in Windsor Victorian Gothic country house, and also happens ot be the filming location of cult classic ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’. In the movie it was used as Dr. Frank N Furter's castle, also known as The Frankenstein Place. The historic building is also believed to be the filming location for many parts of the original St Trinian films.
Ideally situated not to far from Heathrow airport, and also close to Bray Film Studio, this venue would be ideal for a horror-theme event or a meeting place for movie buffs.
