Founder - Ciarán Delaney

Ciarán Delaney I have worked as a marketing manager in tourism industry in Ireland and Europe for nearly 10 years as outlined below.

Having worked as a Director of Marketing for Citywest Hotel, Ireland’s largest Conference and meetings hotel in Dublin I know how difficult it is to sell meeting rooms. I always felt presenting availability online was needed because it was what our corporate customers expected.

Proactiv Marketing

I set up Proactiv Marketing in Sept 2006 which is the parent company of Meetingsbooker. In that time I have worked on a number of online marketing projects with the Irish Hotel Federation and provided marketing consultancy for two specialist hotel website agencies in Dublin. Mansfield Group Director of Marketing

In Sept 2005 I worked under renowned Irish Entrepreneur Jim Mansfield. I was responsible for marketing Citywest Hotel Conference Leisure and Golf Resort, The PGA National Ireland at Palmerstown House and Weston Executive Airport.

Citywest is Ireland’s largest hotel with 1,316 bedrooms, 2,000 sq meter conference centre, 17 meeting rooms, 2 golf courses, leisure centre and 3 restaurants. The PGA National is probably my favourite golf course in Ireland and a pleasure to market. Weston Airport is in many ways the jewel in the crown as executive travel continues to grow.

Tourism Ireland

I spent 7 years with Tourism Ireland which was an amazing learning experience. My most recent role was Internet Development Project Manager, working on the €2.6 million discoverireland.com website.

I also spent four years in Milan, as Market Manager for Italy, Greece, Malta and Cyprus.

My first role straight after university was Market Manager for Norway. I spent two amazing years in Oslo trying to convince the Norwegians to forget about sun holidays and come to Ireland.
